<ol>
<li>Changes in your bowel habits ( such as bowel movements that are either more or less frequent than normal).</li>
<li>Consitpation (difficulty having a bowel movement or straining to have a bowel movement.</li>
<li>Diarrhea (loose or watery stools).</li>
<li>Intermittent (alternating) constipation and diarrhea.</li>
<li>Unintentional weight loss (losing weight when not dieting or trying to lose weight).</li>
<li>Feeling that bowel does not empty completely.</li>
<li>Bright red or dark red blood in your stools.</li>
<li>Stools that are thinner than normal (&#8220;pencil stools&#8221;).</li>
<li>Anemia (low red blood cell count or low iron in your red blood cells).</li>
<li>Unexplained fatigue (extreme tiredness).</li>
<li>Abdominal discomfort &#8211; gas, bloating, fullness, and/or cramps.</li>
<li>Nausea and/or vomitting.</li>
</ol>

<li>90% of colon cancer cases  occur in people 50 years and older.</li>
<li>More than 1.2 million Americans are living with colorectal cancer.</li>
<li>African-Americans have the highest indidence and mortality rate of all groups in the United States</li>
<li>A family history of adenomatous polyps, colon caner, and/or other conditions.</li>
<li>A personal history of inflammatory bowel disease, adenomatous polyps or colon cancer.</li>
<li>Behavioral risk factors include: Tobacco, Alcohol, Physical Inactivity, Obesity, and High Fat Diet (red meats).</li>
<li>Less than half of Americans over the age of 50 report having had a  recent colorectal cancer-screening test.</li>
<li>Jusst 38% of colorectal cancers are detected at the earliest stage.</li>
